JOINT OPERATIONS SEES SUCCESS IN NAMAQUA REGION



A joint operation involving roleplayers such as the ZF Mgcawu(ZFM) Cluster Visible Policing team, Upington SAPS K9 unit,  Upington Border Police and Kakamas Detectives dealt a massive blow to the drug trade in the district .
The information driven drug raids took place from Monday 24th to Thursday 27 May 2021 in Upington, Rosedale and Kakamas areas.

Police arrested seven suspects and confiscated Mandrax and Dagga to the approximate street value of R700 000. The suspects was charged with dealing in drugs and dagga and should be appearing in court soon. 

The Acting Provincial Commissioner, Maj Gen Johan Bean lauds the SAPS members for their continued drive in ensuring alleged drug dealers are brought to book. Maj Gen Bean also thanked the community for their role played during these actions, as this portrays partnership policing at it's best.

SOUTH AFRICAN-AMERICAN TYCOON TO LAUNCH COVID 19 AND CANCER VACCINE INITIATIVE.

South African-American business tycoon Patrick Soon-Shiong has announced the launch of an SA Covid-19 and cancer vaccine initiative. Soon-Shiong and President Cyril Ramaphosa revealed the ambitious initiative during a virtual press briefing on Thursday.
