ILLEGAL FIREARMS RECOVERED

KWAZULU-NATAL: On Sunday, 20 June 2021, at 10:15, police officers from the Provincial Trio and Vehicle Task Team received information about suspicious individuals travelling in a bakkie with no registration plates along the Isipingo Old Main Road.
The police officers immediately responded and spotted the vehicle, which was intercepted. Upon searching the vehicle, the police officers discovered five pistols as well as ammunition in possession of the occupants. It was established that two of the pistols had their serial numbers filed off and one of the pistols belonged to a deceased person. The suspects will be profiled to establish if they are linked other criminal cases. The firearms were seized and will be subjected to ballistic testing.

A total of nine suspects aged between 27 and 47 were placed under arrest for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. The suspects will appear before the Durban Magistrate’s Court on 22 June 2021.

SOUTH AFRICAN-AMERICAN TYCOON TO LAUNCH COVID 19 AND CANCER VACCINE INITIATIVE.

South African-American business tycoon Patrick Soon-Shiong has announced the launch of an SA Covid-19 and cancer vaccine initiative. 6 LIFE SENTENCE FOR 27YEAR OLD

DURBAN - The Mtunzini High Court has sentenced a 27-year-old man to six terms of life and 142 years’ imprisonment on Friday for multiple rapes and robberies in Nongoma and uMlazi. Lindokuhle Zungu was convicted of rape, housebreaking with intent to commit rape and robberies.
