CULPABLE HOMECIDE INVESTIGATED AFTER ONE LIFE CLAIMED


KIMBERLEY police are investigating a case of culpable homicide following an accident that claimed the life of a 58-year-old man on Saturday at approximately 3.30pm. 

A collision took place on the Schmitsdrift road involving a Toyota Etios and a Ford vehicle. 
Police spokesperson Sergeant Dikeledi Gopane said they were investigating the cause of the accident. 

"The deceased, who is estimated to be 58-years-old, was attended to by paramedics, although he succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead on the scene. The identity of the deceased cannot be released until he is formally identified."
She added that the driver of the second vehicle was transported to hospital for medical treatment
