A COMMUNITY FORUM IN FLOPPED STATE

Sol Plaatje Service Delivery Forum Update:

Firstly we would like to apologize to the residents for our brief disappearance and silence as coordinators and leaders of the Forum. 
We promised that our mandate will come from residents and no place else. 
We tried to fix matters internally before giving residents an update but it's impossible to reason with individuals who have their sights set on making the ruling party pay for their recent political defeats.

Ours is to stick to our founding principles which say "no politics, no lies", however as we were moving towards a service delivery filled municipality. Names were submitted to the IEC without consulting the community, community leaders and activists within the Forum. 

Dennis Pienaar submitted a thumb sucked list to the IEC with himself being number one on the list whereas it was agreed that his name was initially on the list for IEC compliance purposes only.

UCSPM and Kimberley Action Group endorsed the SPSDF believing they hold the interest of the  of the residents at heart only for them to cement the fact that they are nothing but a restructured faction of the ruling party. 

We want to make it clear that the SPSDF belongs to all those who voted for it including each and every resident in the Sol Plaatje Municipal area who believes that mandate should come from them and not incompetent and corrupt leadership. SPSDF doesn't belong to individuals who seek to use the suffering of residents to get ahead. 

The Forum remains with 3 seats as the IEC is giving us the run around regarding a justified recount.
The names submitted fraudulently to the IEC to occupy the PR seats are as follows:

1. Dennis Pienaar
2. Justine Esau
3. Shadric Metsimetsi

The above mentioned leaders are not undermined in any way to represent the residents of Sol Plaatje Municipality but how the names were submitted makes the names and representation illegitimate. 

We are aware of agreements being entered into with opposition parties, again without consulting leaders and residents. This alone tells us that the residents are not a priority to some of the members of the Forum.

A request was made that Danny Pienaar  be suspended immediately from  the Forum for misleading and lying to the collective and residents. A request which fell on deaf ears Which further proves to us that if we don't intervene, the mandate from the residents will never be given priority status.

Those defending these illegal acts will come out saying we are disgruntled because we are not on the PR list but that is the furthest thing on our agenda which is to get the Forum back into the hands of residents. Ours is to delete the lies and deceit which we were subjected to.

We've been requesting for the Constitution from Monde Alistair January  for months only to be told recently by him that there is no constitution. 
How do you register at the IEC without a constitution? Another lie Which fuels our move to remove those who think they can use the Forum for personal gain. 

The opposition parties in Sol Plaatje Municipality are advised to tread carefully around the SPSDF which might be successful in illegitimately occupying seats in council.

It's unfortunate that things had to get to this point but we tried all avenues. Even if things were rectified internally as requested the residents still had a right to know what transpired. This Forum belongs to the residents and no one else. We promised transparency, this is what transparency should look like. 

We have communities and an economy to rebuild with residents at the helm giving sound Mandate.

6 LIFE SENTENCE FOR 27YEAR OLD

DURBAN - The Mtunzini High Court has sentenced a 27-year-old man to six terms of life and 142 years’ imprisonment on Friday for multiple rapes and robberies in Nongoma and uMlazi. Lindokuhle Zungu was convicted of rape, housebreaking with intent to commit rape and robberies.
