OPERATION OKAE MOLAO NETS ILLEGAL MINERS


The police in Gauteng together with other law enforcement agencies were at it again this weekend, firmly asserting the authority of the State in the Province.
The officials under the leadership of Gauteng SAPS Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela were out in numbers in support of Operation O Kae Molao which seeks to address any form of criminal activities. The operation also aims to assist the local station to reduce crime and this weekend the focus was on illegal mining which is a root cause for crimes such as assault, murders, attempted murder and possession of illegal firearms.

The operation saw over 800 people arrested for various crimes that range from possession of unlicensed firearms, possession and dealing in drugs. 

The Roodepoort operations resulted in the disruption of illegal mining and 11 people were arrested for possession of illegal mining equipment in Matholesville.

SOUTH AFRICAN-AMERICAN TYCOON TO LAUNCH COVID 19 AND CANCER VACCINE INITIATIVE.

South African-American business tycoon Patrick Soon-Shiong has announced the launch of an SA Covid-19 and cancer vaccine initiative.
