ONE SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR MOGHUL PARK SHOOTING

A Malawian male national will appear in the Kimberley Magistrate's Court this Friday, 14 January 2022 on charges of murder, attempted murder and house robbery linked to an attack on a Moghul Park household on 20th December 2022. Police swooped on the 37 year old suspect in Johannesburg yesterday, confiscating the vehicle used as a getaway car in the Kimberley robbery.
NCNN.live reliably learned that an Organised Crime Unit led by revered detective Lieutenant-General Doggie Magugu in collaboration with Gauteng Crime Intelligence and Johannesburg Metro Police cornered the suspect in Hillbrow. He was first made to appear in court on a charge of vehicle theft as it was discovered that the vehicle he was in possession of was stolen in the Eastern Cape.

Even though his other accomplices are still at large, police are confident of having apprehended the prime suspect.

The female in the group of male robbers, Zimbabwean national Faith Chukwu will appear again in court next month having abandoned her bail application following her arrest on the day of the robbery.

Moghul Park's Neighbourhood Watch members accosted the suspects after they made off with belongings and an undisclosed amount of cash stolen from the house of owners of a local business. One of the suspects died in the exchange of gunfire whilst a helper of the robbed household was wounded during the thievery.

As per law, the suspect is to be charged with the murder of his fellow accomplice, whilst the attempted murder emanates from the wounding of the helper.
